What a great place for drinks and appetizers! We had the tuna tostada and South beach was on tap!!! Chelsey, our waitress, was super friendly and very sweet to our dog. Don't miss the Saltwater tank, so cool!

This may have been my favorite place this week. Great menu. The Almond Crusted Grouper, Salmon Sandwich, and side of Plantains were stand outs! We ate outside. The Rum Runner was also good. Great Service.

Stopped by for lunch with my family and had a great first experience! Everyone at my table ordered some varient of sea food, and it was all fresh and delicious. We ordered several mixed cocktails, and they were all stellar as well! Our waitress was very kind and attentive! We all love the ambiance of the restaurant and hope to return in the future for some upstairs patio seating when cooler weather rolls in!

6 Stars!!! ****** I had been looking forward to trying this place after discovering it on Yelp while on vacation in St. Augustine. It didn't disappoint in any way whatsoever either. I just wish we would have came earlier to enjoy the live music and the whole vibe of this place for longer. This was the place I picked for my birthday dinner and I am glad I did too. Upon entering the parking lot this place makes you happy and has the kind of vibes that make you smile. We entered and were greeted by the friendly hostess who we asked to be seated in the bar area at a table. The seats and table was comfy and we were soon after greeted by our waitress who was great. We ordered: - Salt Life Sling for me (5 stars) - Blue Beach for my gf (5 stars) - Mexican Shrimp Roll (7 stars) - Almond crusted grouper for me (6 stars) - Chili Lime Mahi for my gf (6 stars) - Pineapple Upside Down Cake (10 stars) Listen I could go on and on about this place, but I am just going to say this is the best food I have in St. Augustine and the vibes were some of the best too. The food is excellent and the whole atmosphere is too! Thank you for everything! Enjoy! :D

Salt Life Food Shack in St. Augustine Beach is an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a meal after a day of sun and surf. From the moment you step in, you can feel the vibrant energy that perfectly complements its prime location right across the street from the beach. The menu is impressively diverse, offering something for everyone. One standout dish that I highly recommend is the Almond Crusted Grouper. It was cooked to perfection, with a delightful crunch from the almonds and a tender, flavorful interior. The coconut cream sauce had me finish every last bite! To complement the fantastic food, their drink menu is equally impressive. The piña coladas, in particular, are a must try. They are expertly crafted and taste like a tropical vacation in a glass. Sipping one of these while enjoying the ocean breeze truly enhances the whole dining experience. The service was great, the only thing I didn't like was when we asked to substitute the side of chips that came with the tacos, for crab fried rice, we were told there would be an upcharge, which we fully expected. Instead, they just charged us for a side in addition to the meal but didn't bring the side that was supposed to come with the meal (more money, less food). They should have just said no substitutions, and suggested us ordering an additional side (which we would have done). Other than that, the food was good and drinks were refreshing!

Just recently had a great time at Salt Life Food Shack in St. Augustine! They have a couple of locations and have heard great things about them and was happy with how everything turned out here. We went for a Friday night dinner and the atmosphere was great! Tons of indoor and outdoor seating, couches, high-tops, and spaces at the bar, it was great! I got a Mahi burger and it was great! Certainly recommend if you're in Jax Beach or St. Augustine and you're looking for a laid back spot to have a great meal!

Lovely restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We dined outdoors on this beautiful afternoon. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. We were checked on often and kept updated on our food order status. We stared with a dozen raw oysters (so fresh and succulent) and a couple of oyster shooters - a raw oyster in beer with cocktail sauce for a briny, spicy kick - addictive! Next out was the Mexican Shrimp Sushi roll - tempura shrimp and avocado wrapped in soy paper and sushi rice, topped with ahi tuna, fresh jalapeños, sriracha and fish eggs that was absolutely delicious. Finished with calamari - tender, juicy squid rings with a perfectly crispy batter! Everything was expertly prepared and arrived in a timely manner. The price point is $$$ but it's worth the excellent food and dining experience thanks to the well trained staff! Can't wait to return for some entrees!
